The story and lore of Horizon Zero Dawn (2017) is among the best I've encountered in a video game, and I wanted a way to share it with those who don't play video games (or watch traditional Let's Plays). To that end, I decided to present Aloy's epic quest of self-discovery in an episodic series format, using a cinematic editing style and post-production techniques, and with no commentary or on-screen HUD.

The award-winning Scott Pilgrim vs. the Editor incorporates many deleted or altered scenes back into the film, as well as extended and additional songs and gags, including finished visual effects, colour grading and matching, an enhanced audio mix, and the legendary "serial killer" mid-credits stinger gag newly shot and produced especially for the fan edit.

This stylised fan edit of an already extremely stylish film presents the bulk of The Matrix in high-contrast black and white with splashes of colour, partially rescored with electronic music from artists including Pink Floyd, Wendy Carlos, Carpenter Brut and Muse.

Standing on the shoulders of editors who have gone before before, Eureka Pictures has taken on the task of turning the absurd and ponderous Hobbit trilogy into a single, streamlined film, including an all-new prologue and epilogue, extended and additional songs, colour grading, enhanced visual effects, and narration taken directly from the original text.
